Wet n Wild – Black Crème

Hey everyone! I hope you had a good week last week and start of this week. I finished both my papers and homework that I had last week (yay!). Almost done with the semester! I had a stressful/exciting weekend last weekend (more to come on that in the future!). I don’t have anything exciting to share from last week (my papers completely dominated my week haha).

So I had an idea for a theme and I’ll start that sometime soon-ish haha, but I just wanted to get some nails done, so I have a quick swatch of Wet n Wild – Black Crème. I applied a coat of Orly – Nail Defense, then three coats of Wet n Wild – Black Crème (I could have used two coats, but I filed my nails after the second coat and had to add a third coat), topped with a coat of Seche Vite – Dry Fast top coat. I’ve rounded my nails because they kept breaking when they were square (I have to work on the shape a bit). Thanks for reading, have a great day!

Brief Hiatus

Hey everyone! I just wanted to let you know that I’m taking a short break. This week is really busy with school/life, so I’m taking about a week off from doing my nails and blogging. I should be back sometime during the week of April 27th. Thanks for understanding! Have a great week! 🙂

ABC Nail Challenge 2014: Z is for Zoya Gradient

Hey everyone! I hope your week has been good so far! It’s almost Friday! My week has been pretty good, nothing too exciting happened. This semester is almost winding down – I have two big papers and two tests left (as well as normal homework) and then I’m done with my undergraduate degree. I’m excited and scared at the same time haha. I’m excited because I’ll be done with school and scared because I’ll have to find a job and decide where I’m going to be living (which depends on where I get a job). I’m sure most people graduating probably feel the same way, so at least I’m not alone.

Today’s nails mark the end of the ABC Nail Challenge 2014, with Z is for Zoya Gradient. For these nails I started with a coat of Zoya – Anchor base coat. I then applied two coats of Zoya – Arizona as my base color. For my gradient I used Zoya – Arizona and Zoya – Reagan and a make-up sponge. I topped it off with a coat of Seche Vite – Dry Fast top coat. My gradients still need some work haha. Thanks for reading! Have a great day!

ABC Nail Challenge 2014: Y is for Yellow

Hey everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! Mine was pretty good; on Friday I went to the humane society and walked dogs (and broke a nail in the process, so I have short nails now haha), on Saturday I made and delivered Easter baskets to nursing homes with my internship, and on Sunday I went to my grandparent’s house for dinner. I don’t have anything super exciting going on this week (that I know of at least). I’m almost done with my ABC Nail Challenge (after today I only have Z left!), and I already have another challenge in mind (that will take a while to complete and I’ll probably be doing other designs mixed in).

Today’s nails are Y is for Yellow. I started with a coat of Orly – Nail Defense for my base coat. I then applied three coats of Julep – Lilou (it probably would have been fine with two coats, but I applied mine sloppily so I needed three). I then applied a coat of Seche Vite – Dry Fast top coat. Thanks for reading, have a great day! 🙂

ABC Nail Challenge 2014: X is for X Nails

Hey everyone! I hope your week is going well so far, it’s almost the weekend! I’ve finished my classes for the week, now I just have online homework due by Sunday and two papers that I have to work on (and, of course, they’re both due on the same day). Oh well, at least the semester is almost over! And then graduation! Oh man, it’s getting real.

Today’s nails are X is for X nails (I know, I’m super creative haha). I started with a coat of Orly – Nail Defense for my base coat. I then applied three coats of Julep – Courteney. I allowed that to dry and then applied striping tape in an “X” shape, applied a generous coat of Julep – Payton, and then removed the striping tape (unfortunately, when I pulled off some of the striping tape some of my base color came off with it – that’s why there are some parts that look a little off). I topped it off with a coat of Seche Vite – Dry Fast top coat. Thanks for reading! X is for X Nails (ABC Nail Challenge 2014)

ABC Nail Challenge 2014: W is for Wet n Wild Water Marble

Hey everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! Mine was pretty good, I decorated my cap for graduation (I’ll post pictures when it gets closer to graduation, I’m not sure if I’m completely done yet haha), went to a volunteer appreciation event on Sunday, did laundry, and did homework (I know, I know, I live such an exciting life haha). I have my internship today and then a class in the evening.

Today’s nails are W is for Wet n Wild Water Marble. I don’t really like how these turned out, but I didn’t/don’t feel like re-doing them, so here they are haha. I started with a coat of Orly – Nail Defense as my base coat. I then applied two coats of China Glaze – White on White. The colors I used for the water marble were Wet n Wild – Candy-licious, Wet n Wild – Lavender Crème, and Wet n Wild – Fergalicious (all repeated twice). I then applied a coat of Seche Vite – Dry Fast top coat. Thanks for reading! Have a great day!

ABC Nail Challenge 2014: V is for Vines

Hey everyone! Happy Friday! I hope you all had a great week! I didn’t end up going to the animal shelter on Wednesday (I couldn’t wake up early haha), but I’m planning on going tomorrow. I had my internship yesterday and today I’m going to lunch and grocery shopping with my grandma. Then for the rest of the day and weekend I’ll be doing homework and relaxing.

Today’s nails are V is for Vines (the plant kind, not the app). I started with a coat of Orly – Nail Defense as my base coat. I then applied two coats of Julep – Misti as my base color. Once that had dried, I used Shany Cosmetics Stamping Plate SH21 and Wet n Wild – Black Crème to stamp the vine image. I then applied a coat of Seche Vite – Dry Fast top coat. Thanks for reading! Have a great weekend! 🙂
