Sacramento IG Nail Meet Up Nails

Hello everyone! I hope you’ve had a good week! I was feeling completely uninspired on Tuesday and couldn’t decide what to do with my nails, so that’s why there was no post on Wednesday. On Monday, I helped with the puppies at the vet, they had their evaluations and microchips done (I had to hold their heads out of the way and got plenty of puppy kisses haha). Monday was also the only day I’ve seen the puppies this week, they’re getting old enough now that they can be on their own for most of the day (Renee has a neighbor checking on them twice a day to feed and play with them). My sister and I are babysitting for our neighbors again all day Saturday (well, she’s officially babysitting, I’m just going over to hang out/help her keep her sanity haha), and depending on how they behave we might go see the puppies with them, and then I might go see them one last time before I head back to Tucson on Wednesday night (my dad has to work on Wednesday now, so we’ll leave Wednesday afternoon and get to Visalia and then leave early Thursday morning to get down to Tucson). My posting might be normal or non-existant for the next two weeks as I head back to Tucson and have band camp (and could possibly be scarce for the rest of August while I get into the swing of school again). Yesterday I had the wonderful opportunity to meet up with some other Sacramento nail girls from Instagram! It was nice to put some faces to the names (and hands)! Here’s a puppy picture (teal girl) and a picture from the nail meet up.

I did these nails to compliment the maxi dress that I wore to the meet up (the same dress I wore at my sister’s graduation/going away party). I decided to do another Ikat print nail design – that seems to be my go-to nail art right now. I started with a base of Zoya Anchor Base Coat. I then applied two coats of Zoya – Wednesday. For the Ikat print I used Zoya – Arizona and black and white acrylic paint. I topped it with two coats of Out the Door top coat. Thanks for reading! Have a great weekend!

Turquoise Stone Nail Fail

Hey everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! Mine was okay, I helped my sister babysit our 9 and 12 year old neighbor boys all weekend. I’m just going to say that I’m not ready for kids of my own yet haha. I didn’t really do much of anything else (except I watched my dogs and did some chores around the house – super exciting!). I’m going over to see the puppies today, they have a vet visit this afternoon (to get shots, microchips, and evaluations done). After today though, I’m not sure how many more times I’ll see them. I’ll definitely see them at least once more before I head back to Tucson (I’m leaving next Wednesday, and the puppies are going to their homes that Friday). Here’s a picture I got of red collar boy on Friday, he just sat like that and let me take his picture haha.

Today’s nails had good intentions, but the actual result is definitely not what I planned. I have seen turquoise stone nails in a lot of places and decided I would give it a shot. Here’s a tutorial if you are interested in creating these nails (I’m not going to try to explain it, since I obviously didn’t exactly figure it out haha). I used a coat of OPI – Matte Nail Envy, two coats of China Glaze – Aquadelic, one coat of Sephora by OPI – It’s Real 18K Gold Top Coat, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Hard as Nails – Black Out, hairspray, and Out the Door Top Coat. The only nails I don’t totally hate are my pointer and pinky finger, the others are just “meh.” I’ll try again in the future, hopefully I’ll improve! I don’t really have much else to say today; have a good day, I’ll be back Wednesday!

China Glaze – Celtic Sun

Hey everyone! I’m writing this post late so it will be pretty short (I’m puppy sitting again today and need some sleep). I can’t believe it’s already August 2nd! The second half of summer has gone by really fast! School starts in 24 days and band camp starts in 15 days. Here’s a picture of me and red boy (we matched).

Today I have another just polish post. I did these late, so they’re simple. This is a coat of OPI Matte Nail Envy with two coats of China Glaze – White on White and 2 coats of China Glaze – Celtic Sun with a coat of Out the Door Top Coat. The first picture is without flash, the second is with flash (more color accurate). Thanks for reading, have a great weekend!
