M is for Mint Sprint with Mini Dots

Hello Everyone πŸ™‚ Sorry these nails were delayed a day, on Tuesday I had a bad day and was busy studying. I broke two nails and got a blood blister trying to move a stuck lever. I’m so ready for this week and next week to be over, I can’t wait for spring break, I need some time to relax. I don’t really have much else to say today, so let’s get to my nails.

Today’s nails are M for Mint Sprint with Mini Dots. I started with a coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri – Clearly Quick as a base coat. I then applied a coat of Mint Sprint and two coats of Ulta Glitterati Mini – New Year New Me. Β I then used the tiny end of the dotting tool and white acrylic paint to make dots on my nails. I finished with a coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri – Clearly Quick.

V is for V

Hello πŸ™‚ I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was pretty good, I slept almost all day Saturday (well, I also played Call of Duty: Black Ops II – I suck, but I’m getting better) and on Sunday I hung out with my mentee (we went to the mall and the dog park) and then my boyfriend and I went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory for a late Valentine’s Day dinner (we were supposed to go the day after Valentine’s Day, but something came up and we had to reschedule). This week is going to be another busy one for me (although, not as busy as last week was), I have a meeting for one of my honors societies on Monday, a job expo on Tuesday (it’s required for one of my classes), a midterm on Thursday, and on Friday I have homework and a possible event with my other honor society. I’ll still have time for painting my nails as long as I budget my time accordingly (which I try to do all the time, but sometimes life happens and things don’t go according to plan).

For today’s nails in my A to Z nails, I have V for V (super original, I know – but I missed doing Valentine’s Day nails and I didn’t know what else to do). For these nails, I started with a coat of Sinful Colors base coat. I then applied one coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri – Lively Lilac to all my nails. I then used Scotch Tape to create the Vs on my nails and I filled them with Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear – Black Out. I topped it off with a coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri – Clearly Quick. It’s super simple, but it fits the theme. That’s it from me today, check back on Wednesday for another letter.

G is for Green

Hello πŸ™‚ I’m back! I think that taking a break from blogging was a good decision, I was able to study and I think that I did good on my tests and quiz. My nails were naked for most of the week, but I painted these nails on Wednesday as a reward for studying. I did these nails on Wednesday and I’m posting them now because I didn’t want to distract myself from studying for my quiz that was yesterday. I usually paint my nails a day or two before I post them, that way I don’t feel rushed or stressed if my nails don’t turn out exactly how I want them to or if I run out of time. I will be taking another week break in about 2 weeks for spring break (I’m hopefully going home and I don’t want to pack all my nail polish for a weeklong trip – I don’t have very many colors at home, they’re all with me in Tucson).

Today’s nails in my A to Z nail challenge are G for Green. I knew that I wanted to used green for G, but I didn’t know what design I wanted to do, so I went with another water marble design (even though I just did one two weeks ago). I started with a coat of Sinful Colors base coat. I then applied a coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri – Lickety-Split Lime. I then water marbled using China Glaze – Exotic Encounters, Ulta – The Jungle Look, and Wet n Wild Fergalicious – Glowstick (I made rings of each color in this order twice, so Exotic Encounters then The Jungle Look then Glowstick then Exotic Encounters then The Jungle Look and finally Glowstick). I finished it with two coats of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri – Clearly Quick. That’s it from me today, I’ll be back again on Monday for another letter in my A to Z nails.

I’ll be Back

Hey everyone! I’m going to be taking about a week long break from blogging, this week is going to be crazy busy. I’ll be back this weekend when I have more time. Have a great week everyone!

Here’s a picture of my dog so this post isn’t just words.

U is for Ulta

Hello and happy Friday πŸ™‚ I’m really excited that the week is over (as I am every week). This weekend I’ll be studying for two tests and a quiz and going to a women’s basketball Β on Sunday with the mentoring group. I am so not looking forward to the tests and quiz, but unfortunately they’re a part of school so I have to study for them. The basketball game should be fun, the mentoring program is having food and games before the game so it will be fun.

Today’s letter in my A to Z nail challenge is U for Ulta. I used two Ulta nail polishes for today’s letter. I started with a coat of Sinful Colors base coat. I then applied two coats of Ulta – The Jungle Look (green polish). I let that dry and then applied two coats of Ulta Glitterati Mini – Tinseltown (a gold glitter polish). I topped it with two coats of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri – Clearly Quick. That’s it from me today, have a good Friday and enjoy your weekend!

Y is for You Don’t Know Jacques

Hello πŸ™‚ It’s Wednesday and tomorrow is Valentine’s Day. My boyfriend and I are going to dinner (somewhere, not sure where yet haha). Other than that I don’t have any plans for tomorrow. Today is just another Wednesday, nothing exciting happening for me. I’m excited that the week is half over. Even though my weekends just consist of me relaxing and not doing much I like the break from having to go to class every day and I get to sleep in as late as I want. Today’s letter is Y for (OPI) You Don’t Know Jacques.

I started with a coat of Sinful Colors base coat. I then used three coats of OPI – You Don’t Know Jacques (I could have used two coats, but I had some bald spots from my poor application). I topped it with a coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri – Clearly Quick. This is my first brown polish, and I think that it is a good brown.

That’s it for today, I’ll be back Friday with another letter. I can’t believe that I’m over halfway done with my A to Z nails, I haven’t had any problem coming up with nail designs since I started this challenge for myself, which is good because that was the point of my challenge.

T is for Tranzitions

Hello πŸ™‚ I hope you all had a good weekend. My weekend was pretty good, I spend time with the girl I’m mentoring on Saturday and on Sunday I just slept in, hung around my house, painted my nails, did some homework, and watched Once Upon a Time and The Walking Dead. Today’s letter is T for (China Glaze) Tranzitions.

I started with a coat of Sinful Colors base coat. I then applied one coat of China Glaze Tranzitions – Split Perso-nail-ity. I used a dotting tool and Wet n Wild – Clear Nail Protector to create the dots (the application of a clear/top coat to Tranzitions nail polish changes the colors). Split Perso-nail-ty is a lavender purple without a top coat and with a top coat it is a darker purple; however this picture makes it appear more pink.
