November Polishes

Hello, I have a quick post about the polishes I got in the month of November. I didn’t buy any of these myself, my boyfriend bought them for me for our one year anniversary (check out his blog here). I got four polishes:

  • China Glaze Diva Bride
  • China Glaze For Audrey (I have one already, but I don’t want to run out, haha)
  • Sinful Colors Cinderella
  • Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Blue Streak

Funky French (again)

Happy Friday! Yay, this crazy week is almost over. Next week is my birthday (21!), the last day of classes, the piccolo banquet, and the band banquet. That might seem like a lot, but it’s really not too much work. Anyway, today’s nails are another funky french. For some reason, that design has been really appealing to me lately. Ok, so I started with two coats of China Glaze – For Audrey. I then used Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear – Coral Reef for the tips. I then decided that I wanted to add another color so I used a striping brush and purple acrylic paint to create a line below the coral reef tip. I topped it off with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat. Tomorrow starts the Advent Calendar Nail Challenge I posted about here. Check out the challenge and feel free to join in.

Hap Hap Happy Hands: Advent Calendar Nail Challenge

Hello 🙂 I was on Instagram earlier and came across a post by Chalkboard Nails on an advent calendar nail challenge by Hap Hap Happy Hands. I have never done a nail challenge before and this one seemed interesting, so I decided that I would try to complete it. I’ll post my pictures on my blog every day. I really hope that I can keep up with the challenge and complete all 24 days 🙂 You should think about joining in on the fun as well! I’ve included the image with the inspiration for the days below. Good luck if you choose to participate.

Eggplant Nails

Hello 🙂 So today’s nails are…interesting to say the least. It was after I finished writing my paper and I was tired, but I couldn’t fall asleep because I took a nap after practice and initiation in Omicron Delta Kappa, a national leadership honor society, and I guess my body didn’t feel like going to sleep again. Anyway, it was either really late or really early (depending on how you look at it, I guess), so my brain wasn’t all there. I started with two coats of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Orchid Express (at least I think I used two, I don’t remember at the moment). I then used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri – Blue Streak to create French-style tips on my nails. I finished with a coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat. Only after I finished all my nails did I realize that my nails look like they are eggplants. I don’t even know if I like eggplant – I don’t think that I’ve ever had it. That’s it for now.

Gold Dotted

Hello 🙂 It’s Wednesday, and I for one, am glad that this week is almost over. With the end of the semester coming, the school work is really piling on, so I apologize if the posts become non-existent for a week. They’ll be back in a week 🙂 Anyway, nail time. I started with two coats of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Hard as Nails – Golden-I. I then used a small dotting tool to create the dots, I started from the bottom of my nail and placed dots of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri – Presto Pink there. I then put a row of Presto Pink dots in the middle of my nail, and then I placed a row of dots at the top of my nails. I then placed a row of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri – Brisk Blue in-between the Presto Pink dots. I topped it with a coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat.

(Also, I apologize for the lack of clean-up, it was getting late when I took the pictures and I didn’t have time to clean up properly – not that my pictures are ever really super cleaned up, I’m learning as I go)

Hello and Happy Tuesday! 🙂 Today’s manicure is another simple one. I started with a coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri – Mint Sprint. I then let that dry. Next, I used a thick coat of Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat – Ink Splatter. I let that dry and then I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat. That’s it for today.

Ice Queen Refreshmint

Hello 🙂 Today I have a simple mani. I started with two coats of Wet N Wild – I Need A Refresh-mint. I allowed time for this to dry. I then applied three coats of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails – Ice Queen (with time for each layer to dry in-between). I finished it with a coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat.
