China Glaze At Vase Value/OPI Black Onyx Chevrons

Hey everyone! I know I’ve been absent for a while, I never really intended to abandon my blog, but life got in the way. I’ve been super busy with work, life, and my dogs. The dogs are doing well, Copper’s grown a lot and weighs about 11 pounds now (when I got him he weighed 4.5 pounds). He’s 9 months old now and is a good dog for the most part (I’m still dealing with chewing and puppy energy, but he’s super smart and learns pretty quick). Sophie is also doing well, still a sweetheart and she’s getting better with being along while I’m at work. Everything else has pretty much been the same. I haven’t really had time to do my nails lately and when I have had time, I usually use gel polish because it lasts longer and dries more quickly than normal polish. I’m still working on perfecting my gel polish application, but I feel like it’s getting better.

Today’s nails are more chevron nails. I’m still practicing with the nail vinyls, so I apologize for the messiness of some of my nails. I started with a coat of OPI – Natural Nail Base Coat. I then applied three coats of China Glaze – At Vase Value. Once that had dried completely, I applied the chevron nail vinyls. I then applied a coat of OPI – Black Onyx and removed the nail vinyls. I topped it off with two coats  of Seche Vite. (I haven’t really been taking that good of care of my hands/nails, so I apologize for my cuticles  and nail shapes). Thank you for reading, I’ll try and work on posting somewhat more regularly. Have a great day!!

Bundle Monster Mulberry Surprise/Berry Fizz Gel Polish

Hi everyone! I guess it’s been a while since I’ve posted, oops. I’ve been super super busy with work and life in general and I haven’t had time to do my nails much (actually at all haha). Not much has changed in the last couple months. I still have my dog Sophie and last month I rescued a three month old puppy I named Cooper (he’s four months old now and doing pretty good). He knows sit and I’ve started teaching him to lay down. He’s getting the hang of those, but house training is taking a while – mostly my fault though, but we’re working on it. Everything else is going pretty good. Here are some pictures of Cooper!

Now for the nails! I apologize in advance for the quality of my nails/the pictures – I’m a bit out of practice haha. I recently got a gel nail polish kit/supplies so I’ve been experimenting with those. I used the Gelish Foundation, two coats of Bundle Monster Color – Mulberry Surprise (cured in between coats) then I used Chevron Nail Vinyls and Bundle Monster Color – Berry Fizz, I then applied two coats of Gelish Top it Off. Both Mulberry Surprise and Berry Fizz are color-changing polishes, so pictures of both the cold and warm colors are below. (the cold pictures are on top and the warm pictures are on the bottom). Thanks for reading, I’m not sure when I’ll be posting again, but I plan on keeping up with blogging (at least occasionally).

China Glaze – What a Pansy

Hey everyone! I’m really sorry for my super irregular posting schedule (work, life, and my dog have kind of taken precedence over blogging and nails). I’m trying to get back into doing my nails, but I get busy haha. I promise that if I ever decide to stop blogging, then I’ll let everyone know. Life is going pretty good overall, I’m loving my apartment and my dog. It’s really nice having a living thing to come home to. My job is going well also, no major complaints so far.

Today’s nails are China Glaze – What a Pansy. I started with a coat of Orly Nail Defense. I then applied three coats of China Glaze – What a Pansy. I then topped it off with a coat of Seche Vite – Dry Fast top coat. Thanks for reading, have a great day!

China Glaze – Thistle Do Nicely

Hey everyone! Long time no post (opps). I didn’t mean to stop posting, but I got a dog and spending time with her has cut into my time for nails/blogging. She’s a 4 year old Chihuahua I named Sophie (her name was Echo, but I didn’t think that fit her). I got her off Craigslist (we met in a public place) on the 4th of July. She’s adjusting pretty well – when I first got her she had really bad separation anxiety (she still has it to an extent, but is getting better) and she wouldn’t eat much for almost a week (but then I figured out that she didn’t like the bowl her food was in). It’s really nice having a living thing to come home to after work 🙂 Here’s some pictures of her:

Today’s nails are a swatch of China Glaze – Thistle Do Nicely. I did these a while ago, but I’m just getting around to posting them because life got in the way haha. I started with a coat of Orly – Nail Defense. I then applied three coats of China Glaze – Thistle Do Nicely. I topped it off with a coat of Seche Vite – Dry Fast top coat. That’s it for me today, thanks for reading! 🙂 Have a great day!

China Glaze – Grass is Lime Greener

Hey everyone! I hope you’ve had a great week so far. Mine is going well, today is my Friday (yay!). My apartment is feeling like home and I love living alone – the only messes in the apartment are mine and I have no one to blame but myself haha. Nothing else has really changed too much since my last post, I’m still trying to ease back into posting somewhat regularly. For now I haven’t really made time for nail art, but I’m slowly making time to actually paint my nails.

Today’s nails are a swatch of China Glaze – Grass is Lime Greener. I started with a coat of Orly – Nail Defense. I then applied three coats of China Glaze – Grass is Lime Greener. I then applied a coat of Seche Vite – Dry Fast top coat. Thanks for reading, have a great rest of your week and weekend (and a fun and safe 4th of July if you celebrate!).

China Glaze – At Vase Value

Hey everyone! I’m so sorry that I took another week off! The week before last I was getting ready to move and then that weekend I actually moved into my apartment! So I was completely busy that weekend and then last week I wasn’t completely unpacked so I couldn’t post anything or paint my nails. On Saturday and yesterday I was finishing unpacking and organizing my apartment. It feels like home now! I’ll try (for real this time) to post at least once a week and ideally twice a week. It may take a bit for me to get back into the swing of things again, but I’ll actually try this time. Although my nails and cuticles are in pretty bad shape right now so I’ll be posting some swatches that I hadn’t posted until my nails/cuticles are better.

Today’s nails are a swatch of China Glaze – At Vase Value from almost a month ago. I started with a coat of Orly – Nail Defense. I then applied three coats of China Glaze – At Vase Value. I then applied a coat of Seche Vite – Dry Fast Top Coat. That’s it for today, thanks for reading! Have a great day!

China Glaze – Angel’s Breath

Hey everyone! I hope you had a good weekend! Mine was pretty good, I turned in my first month’s rent and security deposit for my apartment on Saturday and got some boxes and started packing. I can move in on Tuesday, but I’ll probably just do the walkthrough then and officially move in during the weekend when my parents are here (my furniture gets delivered on Saturday and we’ll probably rent a U-Haul or something on Sunday and move the rest of my stuff in). I’m really excited, it will be the first time I’ll be living completely on my own! I mean I’ve lived away from my parents and family for the past four years, but I’ve had roommates, in the apartment I’ll be the only one living there (until I get a dog that is haha). You also may have noticed that I changed my blog name (I decided I didn’t want to use my initials anymore haha).

I’m taking a brief break from my Disney princess nails (I don’t really have time for nail art right now), so prepare for a  bunch of swatch posts. I’ll probably have time eventually, but right now I don’t haha. So for today’s nails I have a swatch of China Glaze – Angel’s Breath. I first applied a coat of Orly – Nail Defense. I then applied three coats of China Glaze – Angel’s Breath. I then applied a coat of Seche Vite – Dry Fast top coat.  Thanks for reading, have a great day!
